Serra Wrestling for 2023/2024

CCS Masters, 2/18 -- Great event to finish the year

It was a beautiful day in Watsonville for the year's final tournament. We had seven Padres out on the mat, with lots of support from teammates and parents. We had great event wins by Elliott, Audie, Francois, Preston, and Rocco. The competition at these events is tough, and we had some great wins and great lessons. Congrats to the seniors who finished up their high school wrestling careers and to those who will be coming back next year with an awareness of the post-season challenge. 

Thanks also to all of the parents who were there to support the team and also those who provided food, drinks, etc. A special shout-out to RJ, who fired up the grill and made quesadillas and sliders. Even some of the parents got in on RJ's amazing dishes (and I'm not saying who, but they were delicious!)

Also, a huge thank you to all of the coaches who gave so much of their time and care that they put into working with our boys to make this year such a great experience.

CCS Tournament Saturday, 2/11! -- Great post-season event!

Congratulations to the following wrestlers who are continuing on to the Masters tournament on Friday!


WCAL Tournament Saturday, 2/4! -- Fantastic topper to a great season. 

What an amazing day! The team came away with 2nd overall and a bunch of outstanding individual performances. With JV and second man divisions, we had lots of our guys on the mat! It was a great way to finish up a fantastic season. A bunch of Padres will be going on to CCS next week!

Welcome Athletes, Parents and Friends of Serra High School Wrestling (and the Peninsula Wresting Club)

We are beginning to get excited for the 2022/23 Wrestling season. This year, we are (hopefully) moving past covid and all the gathering restrictions. In addition to a great year for the wrestlers, we are also planning on a great year for the parents and families as well. 

Please make sure that you are signed up on the email list (see the button to sign up) and check back for updates. We have posted a very preliminary schedule (menu item above) and we will be planning some events to allow families and wrestlers to connect.

Parents Email List

Hey Wrestling Parents -- Not only are the kids who wrestle amazing, so are their parents. We would like to be able to communicate via email and have setup a parent email list (using mailchimp). Please sign up!

Getting ready for the 2022-2023 season! As you probably know, Wrestling is a winter sport, so the duel meets happen starting later in the year (like October or November) and then finish up in February/March time frame. If your son is involved, or has an interest in wrestling at all, please get on our mailing list and get to know other parents. Many have been around for years, and many are just getting started. Please sign up on the email list, and we will keep you poste with the latest events.
